The Bureau will see you now

Answers to the questions Stevens ask most.

Why does it call me Steven?
Everyone here is Steven. Yes, you too. Try changing your name in the app and the Bureau will explain, at length.
The camera won't take the photo.
It takes itself once you're lined up and still. The Standing Orders: strong, even light on both sides of your face, no shadows. Lips together and relaxed; no smiling, no smirking. Line up, then hold still. Don't be a Stephen.
For a neckline: phone at chest height, tilt back until the camera says hold, and keep strong, even light on your neck with no shadows under the jaw.
It says NOTHING TO MEASURE.
Either there's no mustache yet, or the photo came out soft. Tell the Bureau which. No mustache files today's photo; a soft photo gets a retake, and it doesn't use up the day's scan.
What does the barber see?
Only with your OK: a cropped photo of your lower face (a neckline crop can include your eyes), which Anthropic's Claude reads to write his note and name your mustache's style. Say no and everything else still works on your phone. Details in the privacy policy.
Is it really free in November?
Yes. Unlimited inspections, unlimited barber, all of it, from Nov 1 to Nov 30. From Dec 1 you get one free scored inspection a day for your mustache and one for your neckline, and Bureau Premium makes it unlimited.
How do I restore or cancel Bureau Premium?
To restore, tap RESTORE PURCHASE on the Bureau Premium screen. To manage or cancel, open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Apple handles the payments, not the Bureau.
Where are my photos?
On your phone, in THE FILE. There's no account and no cloud copy, so deleting the app deletes THE FILE (an iPhone backup may keep a copy).
The Bureau got it wrong.
Tell it. Under every result, "Did the Bureau get it right, Steven?" sends us the details, and you choose whether the photo goes with them. Or write to the Bureau below.
